I’m keeping my money on Scalito–even though my instincts are that it is never the guy everyone keeps talking about. But I went with that instinct before the new pope was named, minutes before the announcement assuring Corner readers I was certain it wouldn’t be Ratzinger just because everyone was talking about him. Oh well. So I’ll keep my money on Alito. Good money was on him the morning of the Miers pick.
