I’m not a Twitter obsessive and think Elon Musk’s energies would be better directed elsewhere (although he definitely has a chance to make it work as a business proposition, if he can keep it operating at the same level with a much-reduced staff). But the latest revelations are particularly useful in confirming that shadowbanning was happening, that it was directed at those purveying views unwelcome to progressives, and that the rulings involved were highly arbitrary. We are now being told that we knew all this all along, even though for the longest time we were told that shadowbanning was a function of conservative paranoia.
