Our Italian holiday is winding down, alas. We just finished the long drive from Umbria (more on that later) to Rome. We’re here until Sunday. Good times, good times.
It’s been interesting taking three weeks (NR cruise plus post-cruise travels) abroad and not being able to follow the news as closely as I normally do. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to follow the details of the health-care debate as much as I would like, so I can’t tell you whether senator so-and-so’s proposal to cap the reimbursement rate for splenectomies in the greater Portland area is faithful to the Brookings white paper on the same issue. But I did manage to follow events closely enough to bang out a column on Obama’s overall effort, here.
