In this post on Power Line, Steven Hayward points to data showing that the average IQ of college grads today is barely above the level of high-school grads around 1960.
He writes, “High school IQ appears to have held steady starting in the 1980s, after two decades of ruining K-12 standards, while steady and continuing college decline may be the result of enrolling too many marginal students who are ill-prepared or ill-suited to college.”
Exactly. The U.S. is spending more and more money and using more and more student time with nothing to show for it. Nothing, unless you count indoctrination into “progressive” beliefs. That’s working just as the statists want.
