Rich: I can’t say whether the Republicans are right that the field is shrinking. But from the research Kate and I did for our cover story on the House races, I feel pretty confident that most Republicans believe that the races mentioned in that story in The Hill have tipped and that those seats are no longer in play. They may be wrong, but if so it’s because they’ve spun themselves.
