The CNN Interview

It had about as much news as you would expect, which is to say none. The obvious questions were asked, but not in a manner or with follow-ups acute enough to nail Hillary on anything. She blamed her eroding trust numbers on a vast right-wing conspiracy, including a book written by an author who admits that he doesn’t have evidence (she didn’t complete the thought — Peter Schweizer has said he doesn’t have evidence . . . of a specific crime). She said she has gone above and beyond in adhering to the rules on her records, and wasn’t pressed on her failure, for example, to provide the Blumenthal emails. And besides that, she’s proud of the work of the Clinton Foundation and really doesn’t like Trump’s comments on immigration.
