That Hillary Cover Was People‘s Worst-Selling Issue of the Year

The issue of People magazine that featured Hillary Clinton didn’t exactly fly off the shelves. The former secretary of state’s book tour promoting for latest memoir, Hard Choices, was widely panned, and People’s feature story on her around the time was . . . the magazine’s worst-selling issue of the year.

AdWeek reports that the Clinton issue “was a newsstand flop,” selling less than 504,000 copies. People’s best-selling issue, which featured Robin Williams shortly after his death in August, sold more than twice as many copies as Clinton’s.
