I’ve been getting defenses of my junior senator all night. But I tell you — the only comfort I take in that video is that she MIGHT have had an OH NO WHAT DID I JUST SAY? moment immediately after. My takeaway was: The woman’s tired. She she’s letting things slip. I bet Clinton campaign aides have said, You know, those bitter people could kill Obama. I totally believe now that that conversation has been had in the Clinton warroom. And that’s why it’s not a bad thing that the Clintons won’t be returning to the White House this cycle. They’re just not good for American politics.
