Hillary Stands Up for Rights of Criminal ‘Former Presidents’

Slate notices Hillary Clinton made a funny Freudian slip in a speech at an NAACP banquet in South Carolina Friday, declaring, “As president, I will take steps to ‘ban the box’ so former presidents won’t have to declare their criminal history at the start of the hiring process. That way, they’ll have a chance to be seen as someone who has done more than serve time.”

You can hear it at 16:50 in this video:

It’s surprising to see Hillary so concerned about felon ex-presidents. Bill Clinton found plenty of paid speaking gigs and other opportunities, despite his perjury and other misbehavior. Or perhaps she’s thinking of either the current president’s violation of the country’s marijuana laws, or former president George W. Bush’s DUI.

Or maybe her reference to “criminal history” means that FBI investigation of her private e-mail server is weighing on her lately.
