Hillary’s Evil Man

The Chicago Sun-Times may have published the most candid take on Hillary Clinton’s gaffe—or was it—yesterday at a town hall meeting in Davenport, Iowa. When a man in the audience asked Mrs. Clinton what in her personal experience demonstrated that she was qualified to deal with evil world leaders, Hillary seemed to suggest her dealings with her husband fit the bill. When she repeated the man’s question for the crowd–”And what in my background equips me to deal with evil and bad men?”—the Sun Times reports: “It took about 30 seconds for the crowd to stop guffawing.” Hillary later implausibly told reporters she believed the audience was thinking of the “failed leadership” of President Bush when it burst into laughter.
