Hillary’s In

The long-dreaded announcement has been made.

Jonathan Chait makes the case that Clinton is likely to win in November 2016 — that she starts ahead of the Republicans, not level with them. He might be right, but some of the analysis seems wishful or worse. He offers reasons for thinking that voters might not be moved by time-for-a-change sentiment after eight years of Democratic rule. But he doesn’t offer reasons for thinking that they probably won’t be. And his closing paragraph strikes me as, well, lunatic.
