Hockey Stick Spin Cycle in Evidence

I mentioned earlier that the spin on the hockey stick report had already started, with the contention that the late twentieth century was the warmest period in 1000 years going from “plausible” in the report to “likely” in the AP story.  Now the Boston Globe ups the ante further:

A signature piece of evidence for global warming — a chart showing that a sharp rise in temperatures made the late 20th century the warmest period in at least 1,000 years — is most likely correct, a national panel of scientific experts concluded today.
