Honesty Is Such a Lonely Word?

A male reader writes in response to the Sex and the City piece:

“Women don’t think about men and their feelings. For as sensitive as the modern man is supposed to be to a women’s feelings and as sensitive as a man is supposed to look, he’s not really supposed to register an opinion. Or slip up. Or be honest.”

Very true, but aren’t you going to be kicked out of the girl’s club for saying that?

Fortunately, even given modern science, it’s not that easy to actually kick a gal out of the gal club.

And let me note for disillusioned men — I’m hearing from a few of you — I was writing on general culture terms. Not every woman is Carrie Bradshaw, mercifully. Even if pop culture can tend to suggest otherwise.
