From the Indianapolis Star:

Indiana Democrats heading to Denver for the Democratic National Convention were deflated by the news that came overnight that Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware, and not Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, will be their party’s nominee for vice president. Adding injury to insult, the plane that several Indiana Democrats were taking to Denver was delayed because of mechanical problems, forcing them to loll in the Indianapolis International Airport terminal.
