NRO has obtained a copy of a letter sent by Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte recently to Senate leaders protesting the delay, engineered by Senate Democrats, of the nomination of a key intelligence official. There’s nothing wrong with the nominee, Benjamin Powell, it’s just that he appears to be caught up in the Democrats’ war with the White House over the war in Iraq. The story is here.
