Last week I linked to a story about how scientists created the hottest plasma ever — hotter than the interior of the sun — without really knowing how they did it. That alone sounds pretty scary. But here’s a picture of the thingamajig they did it with. I hope they have a few of those worker safety OSHA posters hanging around. You know, the ones that say “1,003 days without an on-site accident or inadvertant ignition of the earth’s atmosphere.”
