How the Iranian Election is Shaping Up

While Iranian elections are never free and fair, and while, as in 2005, the Supreme Leader has seemingly unlimited power to change the vote count, this map in Jomhuriyat is interesting.  The red provinces are expected to favor Ahmadinejad, and the green provinces are expected to favor former Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi, whom much of the Western press describes as the ‘reformist.’
