Is Huckabee Endorsing Moderates?

Mike Huckabee has endorsed a slew of candidates this election cycle, including Tommy Thompson in Wisconsin and David Dewhurst in Texas. Club for Growth says that Huckabee is backing “liberal, big-government Republicans.” Huckabee argues that instead, he’s  being realistic about the compromises that constitute part of governing: “Tommy Thompson,” he writes, “wasn’t just sitting around contemplating welfare reform, school choice, and job stimulating free-market capitalism from some highly paid think tank, he was gutting it out in the crucible of the political environment of a blue state and had actual results to show for it.” Read the full piece here
