Huckabee is a preacher (literally) who was in a room of religious conservatives. It’s not a shock he came off big. But that he couldn’t be beat is a definite bummer for the other guy.
I gotta say, even being a political junkie, I wasn’t that into a Sunday evening Republican debate until this afternoon. Huckabee can rally in a speech to religious conservatives in a way he can’t necessarily in a policy debate. Will be very interesting to watch tomorrow.
Also: One of Romney’s biggest assets is organization. He didn’t pull it off in as big of a way as he probably needed to at the Value Voters event. It does make one wonder what Iowa will bring in a new way.
