Huge Palestinian Flag Supporting BDS Hung from Manhattan Bridge

Pro-Gaza and anti-Israel activists dropped a massive Palestinian flag from the Manhattan Bridge during a march on Wednesday.

The flag called for support of the BDS movement against Israel, and bore writing reading “Gaza In Our Hearts.”

The Gothamist reports the flag hung for about 30 minutes before police took it down. Demonstrators in the march said they did not know who hung the flag, according to the New York Daily News.

This marks the second security breach involving a flag on one of New York City’s bridges in the past month. In July, an apparent prankster replaced the American flags on the Brooklyn Bridge with large, white flags.
