I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar

Yesterday’s appeal to conservative felinity pays dividends:

I just donated to NRO because of your heartfelt appeal to the cat-lovers among NRO readers.  Horus (my Egyptian Mau) was horrified to discover Jonah’s evident disdain for felines.  His remark upon watching the dog-saving-dog video was that no cat would have been stupid enough to play in traffic in the first place, and had they found themselves in the midst of speeding vehicles, would have been quick enough to get out of the way.  Anyway, the credit card I used had my husband’s name on it, not mine, and he would certainly be horrified himself to find I donated to NRO “for the cats.”  So let me set the record straight:  [Our] household donation came from the cat-loving Queen.

Now, as to the matter of NRO’s commission structure. . .
