I Don’t Want My O-TV

This would vex me, from a reader:

Jonah,

Tonight I came home to find that the Obama Channel had been added to my program guide on Dish Network.

Now I’ve been good and tired of their crummy programming for some time now, but this is the last straw.  They aren’t pumping leftist propaganda into my home and expecting me to pony up every month.  I’m just sick and tired of it (Moyers, PBS, CBS, NBC, etc.).

When I called in to cancel my service, I could hear the background commotion in the room.  The guy I talked to was very well trained, and had very good arguments for keeping the service.  It was like they expected this response.  All that I asked for was for them to reprogram my system to get rid of the Obama channel.  They said they couldn’t do it, and that The One had paid for access.  I told them I paid my own bill every month, and if they could program him into my system, they could program him back out.  They refused.  They’re fired.  Permanently.  They shut off the service immediately.  They could have reprogrammed just as fast.  You gotta be tough if you’re gonna be stupid.  Bye bye, Dish Network.

It wasn’t the first call he’s taken tonight for cancellation.  There was some desperation in his voice.

They can kiss my a** from now on.  I don’t watch TV anymore anyway.

As soon as I get the boxes, I’m shipping all of their bulls*** hardware back to them.

Jared Kushner Was Right

Over the past several years, a new certainty was added to death and taxes: Jared Kushner would fail in his role as the administration’s Middle East point man. It caused considerable merriment among President Donald Trump’s critics (and even some of his well-wishers) when he put his son-in-law in charge of ... Read More
