Breaking new ground in lame:

 Jonah –

It’s getting ugly out there.

Karl Rove has rounded up a gaggle of deep-pocketed, shady secret donors to launch a massive swift-boat smear campaign through his smoke-and-mirrors group Crossroads GPS. They must think they can trick folks into believing that putting our economy at risk to push for billionaire tax breaks is a bright idea.

Well I’m not falling for it and I know you aren’t either.

That’s why Democrats have gotta have a big showing for this upcoming Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline.

We must raise $500,000  to show we have what it takes to stand up to Republicans’ scheme to risk our economy for more fat cat tax breaks.

Contribute $3 or more before the critical July 31st FEC deadline and help us throw the Tea Party out of Congress in 2012.

The media and pundits will use our grassroots fundraising totals to judge our will to call out the GOP on their lies — so we need you to act right now.

Every dollar you give goes right back out the door to help take the fight right to Republicans on their home turf with targeted advertising, grassroots organizing, and rapid response research.

Let’s show Rove and his band of fat cat secret donors that we’re stronger and more united than ever.

We can do it. But time is running out.

Give today and help Democrats stand strong at this critical deadline >>

The Coming Anti-COVID Restriction Backlash

The backlash is coming. It already seems clear that the first major political and cultural eruption of the Biden years will be a roiling populist backlash against the next round of COVID restrictions. We saw this sentiment play out in sporadic anti-lockdown demonstrations last spring, and it has driven ... Read More

The Rural Way

Almost every national Election Night reveals the same old red/blue map. The country geographically is a sea of red. The coasts and small areas along the southern border and around the Great Lakes remain blue atolls. Yet when the maps are recalibrated for population rather than area, the blue areas blow up, ...
