I Have an Iraq Question

It’s my sense from reader e-mail that in light of surge progress, many Corner readers are on board for the McCain-Lieberman “no surrender” tour, and while they’d love to see our troops come home, they know that’s irresponsible. We’re not entirely sure what happens beyond that, but the desire is to continue to get Iraqis in a position where they can run basics for themselves. As for Afghanistan, there’s a sense it’s bad off and we’re not adequately addressing, maybe because we can’t fully. We support our troops and pray that the next commander-in-chief takes his or her responsibilities seriously.

(Advantage McCain and Hillary in Cornerville.)

Am I right? Is this crudely where people are?
