The Corner

I Have Returned

The “debate” went well, but Carlos Watson — a nice and capable fellow — was simply miscast. For whatever reason he felt he couldn’t defend the liberal position because he’s a CNN analyst or some such. So he basically conceded all of my points to one extent or another and tried to make the debate about improving diversity and how — I’m not kidding — if the media were more diverse (i.e. had more black anchors and the like) the clean-up costs for Katrina wouldn’t be as severe. I felt bad in the end because he simply didn’t want to engage and I think the audience was looking for more rock’em sock’em. Meanwhile, I kept the nudity tasteful, as always.

The highlight came afterwards when I had drinks with some Corner-readers last night. Very good bunch of guys. They peppered me with questions about NRO. I filled their heads with lies and propaganda.
