have no idea if the bacteria situation is really such that everyone must leave New Orleans (certainly sounds bad). But if I’m the governor of Louisiana, I’d have talked to the right people by now, I would hope. And be on the same page with Mayor Meltdown, and the feds (and know that everyone’s been talking about the mandatory evac on TV for a while now–hey, maybe I should call Nagin for a wassup?). If I, Governor, had already had my own breakdown, I’d just ask Honore what to do, who would then whip me into shape or convince me to resign.
