Albert Jay Nock was not the ur-Derb, though I still suspect Derb wears a cape from time to time and harbors disturbingly pro-Belgian attitudes.
But Nock was more optimistic. He, after all, believed in the Remnant of logical people which would emerge after the world went to hell in the handbasket, years or even generations later. Derb doesn’t even hold out hope for this possibility.
