Ain’t It Cool has some buzz on the mystery about Mike Judge’s new movie, Idiocracy . (WARNING: There’s some offcolor language in some posts.) There’s a developing theory that Fox is playing a back game, with limited release, zero promotion etc. as a ploy to get the thing into cult status. The other theory, which I myself favor, is that the Fox suits are morons… Which, when you consider the movie’s subject matter, might indeed make them fearful it would become too popular.
