All fans of truth, justice, and freedom ought to be.
From the NYPost:
TOUGH-guy actor Andy Garcia was on the verge of tears Friday night as he received a lifetime award at a black-tie gala at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic. Later, reports The Post’s V.A. Musetto, the Cuban-born star, who escaped to the U.S. when he was 5, said people in his former homeland “are suffering,” adding, “We hope for a peaceful transition.” He also criticized the cult that has built up around Che Guevera, noting the Argentine Marxist “was responsible for the execution of many people.”
He was presenting his directorial debut, The Lost City, which I wrote about here, there.
