Immigration and the Dems

A friend offers a follow-up to my earlier post.

“Derb—I think there might be something else to this issue.  Obviously, I don’t know how or amongst whom the cited polls were conducted.  If memory serves, though, in the House races where this matter was a significant issue, the Dems were pretty much in-step with the Republicans who were in the race.  If that be true, I bet immigration might have been the biggest issue for these voters and they saw their *particular* Dem as being just as good as a Republican (or at least acceptably good) and therefore they felt they could pull the lever against the GOP.”
