Immigration

Re K-Lo’s correspondent: Just as it would be intellectually indefensible for a pro-immigration person to write off those who believe in a more restrictive policy, the same is true for those who believe in a tight immigration policy when it comes to those who believe in a more open immigration policy. Debate is essential, not closed-minded assertions that there is only one way to think about an issue that is clearly more ambiguous than that. You want a warning label? Here’s a warning label: There is no one conservative position on immigration.
