Immigration Reform Passes Senate 68-32

As expected, the Senate passed the Gang of Eight immigration reform bill 68-32, just shy of the 70 votes proponents had hoped for.

Every Democrat voted yes, along with 14 out of 46 Republicans: Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Jeff Chiesa (N.J.), Susan Collins (Maine), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Dean Heller (Nev.), John Hoeven (N.D., Mark Kirk (Ill.), John McCain (Ariz.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and Marco Rubio (Fla.).

All eyes turn now to the House, where the Gang’s bill is unlikely to receive a vote.
