The Corner

I use that word a lot (I did in my syndicated column this week). I should probably find more adjectives, but it really does capture so much of the misery of the hour on matters of family, and relations between men and women, and the lack of flourishing among so many around us. It’s a miserable thing that the institutionalization of the sexual revolution (well represented by the HHS mandate) characterizes so much of the welfare state. That so much of this is done in the name of “social justice” and “women’s health” (The Tyranny of Clichés, anyone?) is criminal. But it’s also a challenge. We can reach the best intentions of people with solutions that actually work. You want a conservative way forward? Compellingly articulate them in practical ways, with real models, and we’ll get somewhere.
