Indictments in Albany: What Else Is New?

The Boss just poked his head into my office (affectionately referred to as “the Man Cave”) and asked if anything was up.

“Oh, the senate majority leader in Albany is being sued for corruption,” I told him.

Rich, without skipping a beat and in perfect deadpan, responded, “No, I meant is there any news?”

It’s funny cuz it’s true. In any event, this is what I was talking about:

ALBANY, N.Y. — The majority leader of New York’s Senate is accused of siphoning $14 million from his government-funded clinic in the Bronx for lavish restaurant meals, trips to Las Vegas and his own campaign, according to a civil lawsuit announced Tuesday by Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.
