Inner Ring Suburbs, Again

Same emailer: “Saw your post. I would counter that Atlanta, Charlotte and Cincinnati do not have pre-existing leftish close-in suburbs (such as Arlington and Alexandria have been for many years). I think this is what makes NoVa an outlier–or, to put it another way, I don’t think rising real estate values alone push communities to the left (though a falling ratio of children/family obviously does).”
