Living up to his nom-de-blog, Glenn Reynolds provides a timeous set of well-thought out, non-knee jerk lessons he thinks we can learn from Katrina. Looking down the road, it seems to me that one of the most important pieces of information we get from the Coroner’s grisly business of examining the dead will be to find out exactly when people died. If most deaths occurred during the flooding, then we must look hardest at preparedness; if most people died later on, then we will need to look hardest at the response to the disaster. There’s still plenty of time for more and more lessons to be drawn.
