Who needs, erm, friends? See here for the tale of how one Smithsonian employee was harrassed and attacked for daring to publish a pro-Intelligent Design piece in a journal he edits in his spare time. It’s pretty shameful behavior on the part of those who would claim to be on the side of right in all this (hat-tip, Instapundit).
On the other hand, this Uriah Kriegel article pretty much sums up how I feel about intelligent design; it’s not science as I define it. That, however, in no way justifies the appalling treatment of Dr. Richard Sternberg. The Smithsonian scientists abandoned the scientific method for bullying. They should be ashamed of themselves.
