Intelligent Design

John Updike’s novel, Roger’s Version, treated intelligent design. There is a (to me) rather pro-forma scientific counterargument at the end, but his main assault on it is theological, from the direction of Karl Barth. Whatever we learn from ID we must still interpret, guided by faith.

There is also a fair amount of sex.
