I used to get furious when I would see the anti war left desire Bush receive a black eye over Iraq rather than witness a victory. The Olympics certainly doesn’t compare to a war but I tried to want America to win the bid. I suspect the problem is that it all changed when the Olympics hosted by Chicago morphed into being all about Obama. On that score, the right thing happened and as meaningless as this all is, I think there’s lesson in there for the president. It’s related directly to “more cowbell” which you brought to your readers’ attention.
