Iran Arrests Ayatollah

Well, the regime has succeeded in arresting Ayatollah Boroujerdi.  Sort of like they previously arrested Grand Ayatollah Montazeri and silenced Ayatollah Jalal ad-Din Taheri, Isfahan’s former Friday Prayer leader.  It’s kind of ironic that the Bush administration chooses this moment, reportedly (h/t Andy), to seek a deal with the regime.  If only we could have a President with George W. Bush’s principles and the willingness to stick to them…
