The question, as tigerhawk says, is whether we are entering a revolutionary phase. the answer is: it may depend on what the American government does. But with the likes of Meghan O’Sullivan (NOT a neocon, by the way. Maybe somebody should notice?) and Elliot Abrams in charge of Iran policy, who knows? Thus far they haven’t shown much flair for democratic revolution, have they?
