Yes, yes, of course I know that “irregardless” is an illiteracy.

“Irregardless (as we lawyers say)…” was a quote from one of my all-time

favorite movies, Hester Street. Which, I guess, is not

as well known as I thought… or as it deserves to be. There’s your weekend
