Acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller said the agency ”provided horrible customer service” when it singled out conservative and tea-party groups’ applications for special review, delaying their process.
Miller was also pressed about Sarah Ingram, the IRS’s commissioner of tax-exempt organizations division during the time of the targeting; she is now the head of the agency’s Affordable Care Act office. Miller explained he promoted her to her new position because she is “a superb civil servant.”
