NR Webathon

Is $90,000-Plus Too Much to Ask?

We are trying to finish our webathon here with a bang and are rapidly approaching $90,000. We’d love to get as high above it as possible: 93? 95? I throw out the numbers, but you decide.

I’m guessing if you are reading this, you are a conservative who is well-informed, who takes politics seriously, and who realizes that it’s absolutely essential that the ideas that made this country great are constantly defended and advanced, with rigor and intelligence.

And that’s exactly what we do at NR every day. When so many are willing to bend to the prevailing winds, we are resolute in standing up for what we believe and in telling the truth — when it is easy and, especially, when it is hard.

If that matters to you, please consider chipping in something, from $50 to $5,000 (we get both amounts and appreciate every penny), to help us close out this fundraiser on a successful note.

One reason that we are able to do what we do so freely and fearlessly is that we’ve never put a business model or catering to an audience first here at NR. We’ve always assumed that if we let it all hang out, and defend conservative ideas with wit, verve, and excellent writing, people who value that will be here for us.

If that’s you, please consider giving a little something to get us well clear of $90,000.

You can also give to the nonprofit National Review Institute to support its educational mission defending the Buckley legacy, which will make your contribution tax deductible.
