Is Trump’s Bragg Bump Fading?

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s decision to indict Donald Trump on March 30 did more than any event since the midterm elections to shake up the polling in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. In mid March, a Yahoo News/YouGov national 2024 poll showed Trump leading Ron DeSantis 47 percent to 39 percent, but in the first Yahoo/YouGov poll after the Bragg indictment showed Trump’s lead growing to 26 points — Trump 57 percent, DeSantis 31 percent. 

The latest Yahoo/YouGov survey, conducted April 14–17, shows Trump’s post-Bragg bump fading by ten points:
