ISIS Claims Female American Hostage Killed in Jordanian Air Strike

As Jordan steps up their bombing campaign against the Islamic State, the terror group claims an unidentified American hostage has been killed in a coalition air strike.

In an online posting on Friday, the Islamists say the 26-year-old aid worker was killed when a Jordanian aircraft dropped a bomb on a building near the Islamic State capital of Raqqa, where the hostage was reportedly held.

But while the group posted pictures of the flattened building, it did not show any proof of the woman’s death. Unlike most men taken captive, the Islamic State has yet to parade this hostage before video cameras.

Jordanian Interior Minister Hussein Majali called the report ”another PR stunt by ISIS.”

“They tried to cause problems internally in Jordan and haven’t succeeded,” he told CNN. “They are now trying to drive a wedge between the coalition with this latest low PR stunt.”

U.S. officials have yet to confirm the report.
