It Happened Again

I just had MSNBC on. (Sorry.) A “reporter,” talking about Blagojevich and the Obama discrepency issue (re: Obama having talked with the governor about candidates for Obama’s now-abandoned Senate seat): “Knowing David … “; she goes on to explain how Axelrod probably didn’t actually confirm with Obama that Obama had talked to the governor, but just assumed and said it publicly, because that’s the kind of relationship they have.

I happen to think the Axelrod mistake was no High Crime. But is this what the next four years are going to be like? Rather than asking the president if he has regrets or has made mistakes, all mistakes will be explained away by friends who happen to be the media?
