It’s a Good Life

Over lunch, re-read, after several decades, Jerome Bixby’s classic short story “It’s a Good Life.”  It was as creepy and horrible as I remembered; and this time round I noticed how very well-written it is.  There is a Wikipedia entry here.

Last sentence:  “Next day it snowed, and killed off half the crops–but it was a good day.”
