The House passed Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s proposals to forbid cities from banning employees from routinely asking about immigration status, but that measure died in the Senate. The Senate favored a proposal to allow illegal immigrants who attend Minnesota high schools to go to state colleges at resident tuition rates, but the House and Pawlenty blocked it.
