Jack Anderson, Rip

I see an item on Drudge that Jack Anderson has died. My dad worked closely with Anderson for decades and my mom was his agent for something like fifteen years. I never knew him well –and his politics certainly didn’t jibe perfectly with the Goldbergs’ — but he was a trueand fearless titan of American journalism in general and the column business in particular. Among his great legacies was that he gave a young fellow his start in invesitgative journalism who has gone on to great things. That was, of course, Brit Hume.
